Long-term betting strategy

Long-term betting strategy is a strategy where a person bets money for a long period of time. It may even be infinite, so the player would never stop betting. This article will focus on strategies that can yield usual playing rules as perceived by most players. Variations of those strategies will also be discussed, some more realistic than others.Full betting: A player bets the maximum amount allowed every bet.

Martingale

Martingale: A martingale is a gambling strategy where if you lose, you double your bet, and if you win, you go back to original bet size (and keep going until it hits 0). This is actually fairly close to what people tend todo in casinos, as they bet progressively more money as time goes by. In order to be close to a martingale strategy without going bankrupt, a player should bet the maximum every round except for rounds where he won previously, and then go back to betting one unit after he has doubled his bets.

D’Alembert strategy

D’Alembert strategy: A d’alembert is a more liberal version of martingale. If the player won, he keeps betting one unit. But if he lost, instead of doubling his bet, he adds half the previous bet to the current bet (i.e.: 1+1/2+1/

4+1/8+1/16). In order to be close to d’alembert strategy without going bankrupt, a player should bet the maximum every round except for rounds where he won previously, and then go back to betting one unit after he has added half his previous bet. mrgreen sports betting in Finland.

D’Alembert with Fibonacci

D’Alembert with Fibonacci: Astricter version of d’alembert. The player bets the maximum every round except for rounds where he won previously, but instead of adding half his previous bet to the current bet,he adds 1/1+1/2+1/3+1/5+… (which is Fibonacci sequence). In order to be close tod’alembert with Fibonacci strategy without going bankrupt, a player should bet the maximum every round except for rounds where he won previously, and then go back to betting one unit after he has added 1/1+1/2+1/3+… (which is Fibonacci sequence) to his previous bet.

Anegative d’alembert with Fibonacci is where you bet 1 unit except for rounds where you won previously, but instead of adding 1/1+1/2+… (which is Fibonacci sequence) to your previous bet,you add 1-1/1-1/2-… (which is the negative of Fibonacci sequence). In order to be close to a negative d’alembert with Fibonacci strategy without going bankrupt, a player should bet one unit except for rounds where he won previously, and then go back to betting one unit after he has added 1-1/1+… (which is the negative of Fibonacci sequence)to his previous bet.

Tip

Tip: If you want to make your own bets, I recommend using Fibonacci sequence up to the one you need (i.e.: if you need 8 units, use Fibonacci until F5). You can skip the first number (1) if you wish, but this is more for style than anythingelse.

A couple of important notes: 1) The strategy is always better the more bets you have. For example, a d’alembert with Fibonacci strategy will be much better if you bet 30 rounds versus betting just 10 rounds. 2) In order to keep things simple, I will use round as a word for “round”and “bet” as a word for “bet round”.
